HearthSong Orion Relief Globe Review and Giveaway! CLOSED

My son is finishing up his first official week as a first grader! As a mom, I want to make sure that he has every tool possible to make learning easy and fun.
HearthSong just recently sent me the Orion Relief Globe to help us get ready for the new school year. My big first grader was at school when the package with the Globe arrived so I set it up for him in his room. The Globe was much more detailed than I had expected. The countries were easy to read and the US has each state and the states capital clearly marked which I was super impressed with.
As soon as Jeremy got home from school I told him that he had a surprise waiting for him in his room. Well of course he runs straight for his room and notices the glowing globe right away!  I was very proud that he knew exactly where Oklahoma was and he even was able to name some of the other states .
The Orion Relief Globe is very light but durable. It has held up very well to both my 2 and 6 year old spinning the world and trying to find places like China and Africa.
So my absolute favorite thing about this globe and what makes it so much better than just an average globe is that it lights up! When the globe is lit up you are able to see the national and political boundaries which I’m sure will be very interesting to my son in the near future, but for now he loves seeing the different colors and having the whole world lit up in his room at night. My family and I (especially my son) LOVE this globe and it makes a great addition to our home.
